FIDEL MOLINA-LUQUE
Professor of Sociology of the University of Lleida. Dean of the Faculty of Education Science (1998-2001 and 2001-2004). Director of the Institute of Education Science – Continuous Training Centre (ICE-CFC, 2011-2015). Director of the Institute of Research in Social Science and Humanities, INDEST (Institute of Social and Territorial development). President of the Catalan Association of Sociology (ACS, 2015-2017) and member of the Spanish Federation of Sociology (FES). He has published different articles, books and chapters on issues concerning the Sociology of Education and Intercultural Education, inter-generational relationships, Mediation and the Resolution of Conflicts, and also on Leisure and sport and Human resource management. Initiator and coordinator of the Consolidated Research Group GESEC (Group of Society, Education and Culture Studies) and of the RINEIB (International network of Research in Intercultural Education and Intercultural Bilingual Education). Initiator and principal researcher of the “Laboratory of Mediation and Resolution of Conflicts”. He is a member of the Official Association of Holders of Doctoral and Bachelor's Degrees in Political Science and Sociology of Catalonia of the Spanish Federation of Sociology and the AEISAD (Spanish association of research applied to sport). He has also formed part of the committee of experts in the training of human resources of the Generalitat de Catalunya (University section, 2000-2009). He graduated in Mediation and Resolution of conflicts and is a teacher trainer in Intercultural Education.
Guest of the FRA (Fundamental Rights Agency) of the European Union, as a consultant for Research Methodology (Research-Active Participation) for a project the integration of the gypsy community in Europe (Vienna, 3 of May, 2012).
He received the prize (collective) “Grundtvig Award 2005” for the best European project in adult Education (“Telling Europe”) and the prize (collective) for the project TOY (“Together Old and Young”, coordinator. Dra. Margaret Kernan, ICDI, Netherlands) for the “Lifelong Learning Platform, Brussels” (October, 2016), to recognize his creativity, inclusion and innovation in Adult Education (Active Ageing, Lifelong Learning).
