MARICEL ORÓ PIQUERAS

Maricel Oró-Piqueras is an assistant professor in the Department of English and Linguistics at the University of Lleida. She has also been a member of the Dedal-Lit research group since it began working on fictional images of ageing and old age in 2002. She specializes in cultural studies and gender studies. She has disseminated her research at national and international conferences and has published articles in recognized journals within these areas such as Journal of Ageing Studies, Journal of English Studies, Critique: Studies in Contemporary Fiction and in international collections of research articles. She is editor of Serializing Age: Ageing and Old Age in TV Series (Bielefield: Transcript, 2016), with Dr. Anita Wohlmann, and of EJES N. 22 "Approaches to Old Age", with Dr. Sarah Falcus.
