Inesa Shevchenko has a degree in English from the Public Higher Institute for Foreign Language Teaching in Horlivka (Ukraine), which is equivalent to the official Spanish English Studies university degree. She did a Master's Degree in Teacher Training for Secondary and Baccalaureate, Vocational Training and Language Teaching in the specialty of English at the University of Lleida with a mention of Extraordinary Award. She is also a member of the European Network of Ageing Studies and the research group Grup Dedal-Lit of the Department of English and Linguistics of the University of Lleida, led by Dr. Núria Casado, whose main field of study is ageing and literature. In 2018 she received a scholarship from the University of Lleida, Jade Plus and La Caixa Foundation for pre-doctoral staff in training. She is currently doing her PhD within the programme Territory, Heritage and Culture with a doctoral thesis based on the analysis of contemporary plays on ageing, mainly by English-speaking authors. Since 2018-19, she has also participated in the theatre workshops directed by Dr. Casado for undergraduate students.
