Joan Tahull holds a Ph.D. in Sociology of Education from the University of Lleida and is an associate professor at the same university. Currently, he works full-time at the Institute of Educational Sciences (ICE) at the University of Lleida. His main task involves organizing and managing innovative training programs for teachers in the province of Lleida. For this reason, he maintains a close relationship with primary and secondary educational centers; principals and teachers; as well as students. 

Graduated in Philosophy and Social and Cultural Anthropology. Diploma in Social Work. Postgraduate studies in Applied Anthropology to Social Welfare and also in New Trends in Social Intervention for the Elderly. He is currently involved in teaching courses in the Secondary Education Master's program, specifically in the subject of “Society, Family, and Education”; as well as tutoring Master's theses and final degree projects in Primary Education since 2009.

He is a member of the consolidated group GESEC (2014 SGR 655) and has participated in the project: “Civic education in intercultural classrooms: analysis of students' social representations and ideas, and proposals for educational action” (Competitive Project, RecerCaixa Call 2012). 2012-2015.

The main research lines are sociology of education, urban anthropology, interculturality, and youth cultures. He has published 33 articles in various national and international journals, in many of which he has been a revisor. He has participated in different national and international congresses in various roles: scientific committee member, organizer, and presenting communications.
