Main Aims and Methodologies

The main objectives of the project can be summarised as follows:

- To promote social interaction between people of different ages (profiguration) through dialogue on reading, experience and the joint production of intergenerational narrative.

- To analyse the representation of the traditional models in which the adult generations have been socialised in the roles attributed to older people and young people through analysis and work with literary narratives.

- To analyse the changes and continuities in the current treatment of roles and intergenerational relations, taking into account the gender perspective, through the analysis of literary narratives as well as through focus groups dealing with themes present in the narratives.

- From jointly designed actions, to value and deepen the interaction capacities between young people and older adults and the interest for both of them to develop it in a profigurative society, in which intergenerational interdependence becomes enriching.
