Emma Domínguez, Maricel Oró, and Verónica Vizcaíno have organised a book club at the Biblioteca Pública de Lleida titled “Entre generaciones” (Between Generations). The book club consisted of four sessions. In the first two sessions, the novels L'amore molesto (Troubling Love) by Elena Ferrante, White Teeth by Zadie Smith, Tàndem (Tandem) by Maria Barbal, and Heartbreak Hotel by Deborah Moggach were discussed. The book club had 18 participants ranging in age from twenty to eighty. Each session lasted an hour and a half, during which the novels were discussed from the perspective of intergenerational relationships among family members, neighbours, acquaintances, etc., as well as how each author presents the way in which characters of different ages understand the concept of generation. There were also discussions on topics such as relationships between different generations in immigration contexts, topics related to the expectations of each generation based on the time and place in which the characters grew up and developed, and topics related to ageing, the passage of time, old age, care, and death.
