NÚRIA CASADO GUAL

Nuria-Casado

Núria Casado-Gual es Profesora Agregada del Departamento de Lenguas y Literaturas Extranjeras (DELILE) de la Universidad de Lleida. Autora de una tesis doctoral sobre la teatralización del racismo en la obra de Edgar Nkosi White (2006), ha publicado varios artículos sobre éste y otros dramaturgos contemporáneos. Su campo de investigación actual es la gerontología cultural, que explora a través de la literatura, el cine y el teatro. Como investigadora principal actual del Grup Dedal-Lit, dedicado desde hace más de una década a los estudios del envejecimiento y la literatura, ha co-editado los volúmenes The Polemics of Ageing as Reflected in Literatures in English (2004) y Literary Creativity and the Older Woman Writer: A Collection of Critical Essays (2016). Ha sido investigadora principal del proyecto "Envejecimiento y Género en la Creación Literaria Contemporánea en Inglés" (Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad, 2013-2015), y actualmente es co-investigadora principal, junto con Fidel Molina, de los proyectos “Envejecimiento, Creatividad y Calidad de Vida a través de la Narrativa" (Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad 2016-2019) y “Healthy Ageing, Quality of Life and Intergenerational Relationships" (INDEST, Universitat de Lleida 2017-2018). Recientemente ha desarrollado parte de su investigación en teatro y envejecimiento en el Keele Centre for Ageing Research de la Keele University (Reino Unido) a través del programa José de Castillejo del Ministerio de Educación (2018), así como dentro del grupo de trabajo "Performance and Age" vinculado a la Canadian Association of Theatre Studies. Núria Casado desarrolla también proyectos teatrales como actriz y dramaturga, y como directora de talleres universitarios. Seis de sus obras teatrales han sido publicadas hasta el momento.
